Biscuits are one the hardest foods to portion. In Ireland tea and biscuits seem to go hand in hand. Of course there can be room for biscuits in a varied balanced diet but we probably dont need them as often we would like to eat them.
One of my favourite ways to manage my biscuit cravings is by making a batch of these simple "biscuits". They are perfect to make on a Friday night instead of something sweet.
- 1 Banana (mashed)
- 1 cup of Instant or Jumbo Oats
- (add ins optional-cinnamon, raisins, choc chips, nutmeg, ginger, pb2)
- Mix ingredients together
- Spoon onto greaseproof paper (makes 6)
- Bake at 325F/160C for 15minutes
As you can see, I like to add extra pb or nut butter for staying power. Enjoy!
